I am inspired by the landscape and the built environment, by stories and poetry, by the marks that people have left over time and by layers of association, both personal and historical. The lovely county of Suffolk where I live provides much of my inspiration, being rich in history, folk tales and literature.
Working mostly with handmade felt and with natural and recycled fabrics, I use stitch, paint, mono and block printing to respond to things seen and ideas felt.
I am member of the Textile Art Group Suffolk (TAGS), a thriving organisation which exhibits annually at Snape Maltings. Much of my work is for sale and I also work to commission. Prices are available on request.
